Seth Dhanpatraj wants his son Suraj to be married to a girl from rich reputed family but Suraj falls in love with fellow collegian Saroj, who hails from a poor family. Dhanpatraj disapproves of Saroj and drives Suraj out of his house. Suraj comes to the city and gets married to Saroj.
